Law enforcement officers practice shooting scenario in Apple Valley

Police officials from around the High Desert took part in a training exercises today at Granite Hills High School in Apple Valley.

More than 30 officers from various departments participated in the scenarios that included "active shooter" situations that require a response from multiple agencies, according to a sheriff's news release.

Students weren''t on campus today because of Veterans Day.

The Apple Valley Unified School District officials also got to work with the officers to practice their emergency plans.
